Owners Manuals & Service Manuals

Available for just about every turntable ever made including Dual. Create a free account at VinylEngine.Com and then visit the Library. Daily download limits apply.

When working on any Dual turntable, ALWAYS start with downloading the service manual and reviewing the instructions for servicing. While working, carefully and meticulously take pictures and label parts noting orientation and order of assembly.

VINYL Engine is not currently accepting new registrations. Many of the Dual service manuals obtained from that site are mirrored on a Google Drive folder below. Also available in another folder are colorized lubrication diagrams for select models.

Master of Dual servicing Klaus Adlhoch is a huge contributor to VinylEngine forum discussion and author of some amazing and free guides on many Duals.

Vintage Dual Turntable Servicing and Cosmetic Restoration Guide

Don (aka. mrow) on VinylEngine has put together a really nice PDF with all sorts of pearls and knowledge accumulated over years of working on Dual's and through the VinylEngine forum groups.

The current version is 113 pgs long. Search ebay for DUAL TURNTABLE vintage model SERVICE PDF. Link keeps breaking so just search for it by name.

PS: Don, let me know if I could host your guide in the store.

Dual 1219, 1229 Service for Amateurs

This guide is well done with step-by-step descriptions with pictures. The procedure he has for labeling parts is a best practice for sure. A 1215 with this reference is what got me started and made learning a Dual much less intimidating.

The information in here is good but for motor and cam servicing instead follow Dualcan's guides linked above.
